I was surprised the other day when I went into my usual cyber cafe in town to browse only to get my favourite machine was occupied.
I was forced to go round the cafe looking for a free machine, its this time I realized how ’sexy’ things were in the room.

At least 3 people in a row of 10 were on sex sites. What was amazing is that most of those who were on these sites were not teenagers but old men and women who I thought would have serious issues to do on the Internet than chatting ‘dirty’ and watching porn.

I do not mean that whatever they were doing is not ‘important’ but to me this was being done at the wrong place and the wrong time, they might argue that they paid for the services but this is not right.

I might be ignorant but I never thought cyber sex was deeply rooted in Kenya as it is, after this incident I talked to a cyber assistant who made it clear to me that 60 percent of their clients would spend most of their time on sex sites and watching pornography online. Theirs is business and more profit so what to do?

Cyber sex with no doubts is on the rise with the increase of networking sites some of which are solely on sex.

Its my sincere wish and prayer that our children will not lose the sense of enhancing their knowledge in the right way and indulge in such evil sites which are so addictive and destructive. I call them evil since they are devilish to me and I would not judge anyone who would deem them educative wrongly, it all depends with someones view.

We expect the cost of Internet to go down soon as the SEACOM fiber optic is here with us, so Kenyans we have been complaining of expensive Internet so let’s make good use of the Internet.
